The Boss Restaurant (Metrotown)

The Boss Restaurant located in Metrotown (next to Zellers) always seems busy so when we were walking by one day and noticed a lull in the crowds, we decided to drop in and try them out again.

The service is usually a little gruff but fairly quick and efficient.  We tried the Stir Fried Rice Vermicelli with Shredded Duck first.  This is a really huge dish and we wound up taking most of it home.  I was a little disappointed that it wasn’t spicier but I guess that’s why they bring you hot sauce.

Next up was the Curry Ox Brisket served on rice.  Now, normally, I’m not a big fan of the curry at Chinese restaurants but this curry was really tasty – I just wanted to soak it all up in the rice.

We also tried their Deep Fried Chicken Wings but were a bit disappointed because they didn’t really taste like they were fried.  We were hoping for something more like the ones at Phnom Penh but these weren’t the least bit crispy on the exterior.

Our meal came out to just over $29 after tax and I’d say our service was about the same as on our last visit here.
