The Sweet Spot Bakery
A number of years ago, we used to visit Steveston quite often on the weekends to shop at some of the quaint shops. As more and more shops closed down over the years, our visits became fewer and far between. It seems, however, that there is a bit of invigoration within the community lately. Perhaps it’s the prominent faux Storybrooke shops used in the Once Upon a Time tv show that’s drawing more people here.
Located on the corner of Chatham and 1st Avenue, The Sweet Spot Bakery is a cute little bakery that serves up some fine looking (and fine tasting) bakery items.
I decided to get a variety of items including the Pistachio Madeleines, Peanut Butter Cookies with cholately filling, and Pain au Chocolat. Although I think I’ve had better Pain au Chocolats elsewhere, the Pistachio Madeleines and Peanut Butter Cookies were spectacular.
I also couldn’t help but try out some of the gorgeous tarts available – it was almost a shame to eat these… almost. Clockwise from the top is the Lemon Tart, Peach Tart, and Fruit Tart.
If you’re heading to Steveston, make sure you stop by The Sweet Spot Bakery and try out their yummy offerings. Note: they’re closed on Mondays and Tuesdays.
