Earl’s (Whistler)
It’s been years since we’ve been back to Whistler so we decided to bring Sophie with us as we’ve always heard that Whistler is very dog friendly. This time around we stayed in the Pan Pacific Whistler Village Centre and were very pleased when they upgraded us from a basic studio to the 2 bedroom penthouse Whistler Suite. OMG, this suite was awesome!
Anyhoo, even though there’s a plethora of places to eat in Whistler, sometimes you just want to dine-in. The Pan Pacific actually has room serviced catered by the nearby Earl’s. Look at the picture below.. this is the Earl’s just steps away from the hotel entrance.
After noshing on some pizza earlier from GrassRoots and Avalanche Pizza, we just wanted some appies so we ordered a pound of Thai Chicken Wings and the Tuna Poke Nachos. The wings were great (just like at their other locations) and it’s always comforting to have food from a familiar restaurant when you’ve just arrived in a new city.
I was a bit disappointed by the Tuna Poke Nachos – I found the crisp wonton chips to be too seasoned and overly salty. The toppings were pretty good (tuna, cucumber, avocado, sliced serranos, macadamia nuts and mango coulis) but not enough to compensate for the salty wonton chips.
