COWS (Whistler) – Mooooo!
COWS has been a staple at Whistler for years and it’s easy to see why. With a higher butterfat content (16%) than regular ice cream and the fact that they open late… this makes the perfect spot to grab some comforting dessert after a hard day of hiking (or shopping).
It’s hard to miss COWS in the village – what with the big cow standing outside the entrance. Sophie was a bit scared of this fake cow and didn’t know what to make of it.
We tried out two flavours: the Wowie Cowie – vanilla ice cream with English toffee marble, chocolate flakes, and Moo Crunch (their version of Skor bits), and Moo Henry – vanilla ice cream with gooey caramel swirl and chocolate pieces.
I recall there being a COWS in Vancouver many moons ago on Robson Street but I think it closed down a long time ago – too bad… yummy and rich ice cream with plenty of kitschy knick knacks in the store to look at.
