Beaver Tails (Whistler)
As I mentioned on my previous post, you can also buy Beaver Tails at Zog’s Dogs. Don’t worry… it’s not actually a tail from a beaver… these are just fried dough in the rough shape of a beaver’s tail.
We were seriously considering the chocolate nutella version but picked the Apple Cinnamon ($6.50) instead figuring that the apples would at least count as part of our daily fruit intake.
The deep-fried dough is quite tasty – reminds me of the whale tails that we get at the PNE each year. It turns out that the apples were actually quite sweet and a little mushy – more like pureed apples than actual slices.
