Cattle Cafe (Metrotown)
While the interior furnishings of the Cattle Cafe near Metrotown is similar to the one on Edmonds (lots of 70′s circle prints), the Metrotown location feels a bit tired. It was quite busy at this location when we visited at 1pm and it seemed to take forever for our food to come out (we thought they lost our order).
This location seems smaller than the one on Edmonds and the tables are very close together… we had a tough time trying to not listen in on the conversation happening at the next table.
I ordered the Malay Laksa with sliced beef brisket, Japanese Ramen, and special sausage. When it finally arrived, it was piping hot and just as yummy as the last one I had.
We also wanted to try the Chicken Wings so we got the add on ($1.50 for three). There wasn’t really anything special about the chicken wings though.
The Lemon Ribena and Lemon Ice Tea.
The Pan Fried Turnip Cake dish was bigger than I expected and we almost didn’t finish it all.
The Pork Chop in Cream Onion Demi Glaze with Rice was better than I expected. The pork was pretty tender but it was still difficult to cut with the butter knife they gave us.
Most of the food that we tried here was pretty good but the service was lacking and it’s cash only.
