Cora’s Breakfast and Lunch (Richmond) – 10 Star Omlette
It’s been less than 6 months since Cora’s opened up in South Richmond. They originally had some growing pains trying to figure out their groove (long line ups, slow service, and inefficiencies all over the place – see our last post on Cora’s here). Despite the past problems, the food was quite good so we came back and had a pretty decent breakfast.
I picked the 10 Star Omlette with rye toast. The sheer number of ingredients had me intrigued: bacon, ham, sausages, frankfurters, bologna, spinach, green onions, tomatoes, onions, red peppers, green peppers, mushrooms, and cheddar cheese. Not to mention the wedge cut potatoes and fruit. Unlike some of their other dishes, there wasn’t much fruit to this dish (only a pineapple slice, strawberry, and a cantaloupe slice).
If you want more fruit, you could always try the 1990′s Harvest… there’s literally a mountain of different fresh fruit here. But don’t let the fruit mislead you – the dish is quite filling due to the thick cinnamon-raisin brioche dipped in French toast batter and topped with bacon and eggs.
If you’re a fan of breakfast or a fan of fruit, try out a Cora’s near you.
