Posh (Burnaby) – Crab Hot Pot Horrors

Back in early January, we visited Posh (located right next to Pho Tan) in Burnaby for a crab hot pot meal.  It’s taken me this long to write the post because I was trying to forget the whole experience ever happened.

Little Sheep Mongolian Hot Pot (Burnaby) – Good Food, Service… Not So Much.

When I saw the signs for the new Little Sheep Mongolian Hot Pot go up in the former Sammy J Peppers location across from Metrotown, I was quite anxious to try it out… but it seemed to take forever until it opened.  We finally managed to visit the place in early December (after waiting a month or two to allow them to work out any grand opening kinks).

When it’s cold and dreary outside, there’s nothing better than hot pot for warming up the soul.  Fortunately, there’s quite a few hot pot restaurants located around the Lower Mainland where you can get your fix.  Mongolian Little Sheep Hot Pot is conveniently located in Lansdowne Mall in Richmond.

Mongolian Little Sheep Hot Pot – Good Food, Poor Service

I’ve been re-reading some other blog posts of Mongolian Little Sheep Hot Pot (located in Lansdowne Mall) and I was surprised that many people said that they had good service.  After the experience that we had last Monday, I feel a little gypped.  I might go back and try them out in the future because the food was pretty good… it’s just that the service that we received was pretty sad.

Top Gun Hot Pot – AYCE

Top Gun Hot Pot is part of the Top Gun Group of Restaurants that includes Kingsway Sushi among others.  Located on the 2nd floor of Crystal Mall, it’s a very popular and busy All-You-Can-Eat hot pot spot given the price – $23.95 for adults (Fridays, weekends, and holidays are an extra $1) plus an extra $7.50 for the soup base.

You might wonder why you would pay so much to cook your own food but it’s very easy to get your money’s worth here.
