Dublin Castle Neighbourhood Grill – Pot Pies and Poutine
If you’re looking for a quaint little pub that serves up some good eats, you only have to drop by the old BC Penitentiary Guard House located in New West. Paddlewheeler Neighbourhood Pub
My best way to describe the Paddlewheeler Neighbourhood Pub at the Quay in New West is “old”. Don’t get me wrong, they have a fairly big patio that overlooks the boardwalk and large screen tvs all over the place but everything about this pub feels a bit tired. When we stopped to look around at the other patrons, we noticed that we were probably the youngest there by a long shot (and we’re not spring chickens anymore).
Original Joe’s (Vancouver)
I recall eating at a restaurant located on the 2nd floor of the South East corner of Cambie and Broadway many years ago. I’m not quite sure but I think it was a Fogg n’ Suds location but it closed out years ago. I’ve seen the Original Joe’s that replaced it many times as I’ve driven along Broadway but I’m not sure why we haven’t tried them out until now. Read the rest of this entry
Red Lion Bar & Grill
If you were to ask me to describe examples of English cuisine, I probably couldn’t name anything other than fish and chips and bangers and mash.
