Panago Pizza (Tyne Street) – Thin Crust Pizzas

Say what you will about Panago Pizza but they really have their operation put together well.  Their pizzas may not be the best in the Lower Mainland but they are consistently fresh and tasty.  You can get any of their pizzas on a thin crust – which is our favourite right now.

The Tropical Chicken comes with sweet and smokey tropical sauce, grilled chicken, pineapple, green peppers, caramelized onions, mozzarella and cheddar.

The Italian Deli comes with genoa salami, capicollo, pepperoni, spicy Italian sausage, ground beef, and mozzarella.

I like the fact that Panago has a lot of tasty side dishes… sometimes you need more than just pizza.  My favourite is the Tikka Masala wings that have a slight hint of curry flavour.  The wings are juicy and plump – something you don’t always get with wings from a pizza joint.

The Sweet Cinnamon Breadsticks is perfect if you have a sweet tooth.  In addition to being dusted with icing sugar, it comes with a Sweet Frost dipping sauce that kicks up the sweetness level another couple of notches.

They also have salads.  The thing I like about their salads is that they all come fresh and crisp.  Unlike some take out pizza places, their salads are not pre-mixed with salad dressing which helps to keep the lettuce and croutons crispy instead of soft and mushy.

All in all, while Panago might not have the best pizzas or the best sides in the Lower Mainland, they always seem to be consistently good with all of their food.

Ordered in store….was the worst pizza I have ever ordered.Ordered but not eaten.

    • Sorry to hear that… we’ve never had problems with this location. I’ve had much worse at many other restaurants.
If you’re looking to try some other pizza places, try Columbus Restaurant on 49th Ave (the Everything But The Waitress pizza’s really good).
