Goldilocks – Filipino Bakery
Goldilocks is a Filipino bakery/cafe that serves both designer cakes (they have a large display of sample cakes – mainly kids themed) as well as Filipino entrees. We usually only come here for the pastries though.
Goldilocks also has a wide variety of cupcakes. Although they had some pretty neat Halloween-themed cupcakes, we decided to stick with some classics like the Red Velvet Cupcake and the Chocolate Cupcake.
The Red Vevet was softer and moister than the Chocolate Cupcake.
Goldilocks carries a number of bakery items that you don’t find in your regular Italian or French bakery shop. They have a big selection of Polvoron (similar to a heavy shortbread cookie) in different flavours: cashew, rice crispy, chocolate honey almond, and peanut. I’ve never tried them before but they sound interesting and I might pick some up the next time we stop by.
