Romer’s Burger Bar (River District) – Burger of the Week

ñOne of the great things about Romer’s is that they keep their menus fresh by having “Burgers of the Month” or “Burgers of the Week”.  Take, for example, one of our favourite burgers… The Holiday Burger.

We’re well on our way to summer now so it only makes sense that Romer’s has come out with something that’s more reflective of the change in weather.  The Spicy Jamaican Burger is only available from May 18th to May 24th so make sure you try it out before it disappears.

As usual, the burger is served on their wonderfully fresh brioche buns and comes with marinated chicken breasts, a light curry aioli, greens, tomato, cilantro, and mango chutney.  This burger has just the right amount of kick without being too spicy.

Their huge Sea Salt + Toasted Pepper Wings and fresh Onion Rings (you can see a picture on one of our other posts for Romer’s here or here) are still as fantastic as I remember.

Update:  May 30, 2012 – The week has come and gone and there is a new Burger of the Week at Romer’s.  In addition to the new offering, we tried the So Cal Turkey Burger ($10) served with fresh avocado, tomato, watercress, red onion, orange mayo on top of a Fraser Valley turkey patty.

The new Spicy Chili Cheddar Cheese Fries ($7.50) comes served in a huge bowl with plenty of delicious fries smothered in chili and cheese… perfect for noshing while watching the Stanley Cup Finals.

Today’s Burger of the Week was The Spicy Q! – watercress, vine-rippened tomatoes, onions and mushrooms smothered in bbq sauce and topped off with provolone, pancetta, and fried jalapeños… the jalepeños give it a bit of a kick but it’s not overpowering.  This is only available until May 31st.
