Denny’s (Coquitlam) – Prime Rib Benny

I tend not to eat at Denny’s unless I really have to.  It’s not that the food is necessarily bad… it’s just that I’ve had some bad experiences in the past.  As it turns out, I was in Coquitlam early one morning and Denny’s was pretty much all that was open at the time.

I started out the morning with a Hot Chocolate with whipped cream.  For some reason, this place really reminds me of eating in a US restaurant.  Perhaps it’s because their Tour of North America menu is all based on US geography (ie. Malibu Fish Tacos, Florida Sunshine Salad, or Brooklyn Spaghetti & Meatballs).  Sure, they have the token Vancouver Double Berry Pancakes Breakfast but that’s hardly representative of the entire continent.

Instead of one of the Tour of North America items, I opted for the Prime Rib Benny which actually tasted all right.

  1. Maybe something to consider as a choice for one of their famous free birthday meals?
