White Spot (No.3 and Ackroyd) – Smashbrowns and Frittata
I honestly can’t remember how we found ourselves at the White Spot at No. 3 and Ackroyd in Richmond for breakfast – I’m thinking it was probably related to the flood restoration that we were dealing with at the time… sigh!
The Santa Fe Breakfast Burrito comes with your choice of chicken or pulled pork along with scrambled eggs, tomatoes, and peppers wrapped up in an easy-to-hold burrito wrap. I’ve had White Spot’s Smashbrowns™ before with varying success. Fortunately, the Smashbrowns™ at this location were great – the red nugget potatoes had a nice crunchy texture.
The Mushroom, Spinach, and Cheese Frittata is one of White Spot’s Lifestyle Choice items and is served with a bowl of mixed fruit. That being said, I couldn’t help but order up a side of wonderfully crispy bacon. I have to admit that I was expecting the frittata to be more like a quiche rather than a scramble but it was still tasty. If it wasn’t for the side order of bacon however, this dish would have been a little too light for me.
