Fatburger (North Burnaby) – Chili Cheese Fries
I’ve actually eaten at this Burnaby Fatburger location before… ironically enough, while taking a first aid course at the nearby St. Johns Ambulance location. If there was anything that could cause an instant heart attack it has to be chili cheese fries.
I’m not sure who first invented chili cheese fries but I think they should get an award or have a day named after them. Come on, just look at how the cheese and chili marries perfectly with the crunchy fries…. crunchy, chewy, cheesy… cruncheweezy!
Instead of a burger, I wanted to try out their cheesesteak…. specifically the Angus Ribeye Cheesesteak Sandwich with Swiss and Jalapeños. This was a monstrous cheesesteak sandwich with thinly sliced ribeye. The jalapeños weren’t overly spicy but, then again, I think I burnt out my taste buds when I was a kid.
The California Chicken Burger had plenty of guacamole and bacon on it.
Fatburger tends to be on the more expensive side of fast food joints but you’re not going to find the same food at Burger King or McDonalds.
