Me-n-Ed’s Pizza Parlor (Burnaby)

Me-n-Ed’s Pizza Parlor is a throwback to the pizza parlors that I remember as a kid… back when people used to eat at pizza joints instead of just ordering pizza to-go.  The inside of the Edmonds location is quite spacious with lots of roomy booths and plenty of room for a large party.

I didn’t have much time to dine-in today so I grabbed a couple of small pizzas… the Thai Chicken ($15.35) and the Gangster ($15.35).

The Thai Chicken has Thai sauce, crunchy noodles, marinated chicken, snow peas, carrots, and onions topped with toasted sesame seeds and green onions with a peanut dipping sauce.

The Gangster comes with salami, pepperoni, capicollo and Italian sausage topped with mushrooms and onions.

The pizzas at Me-n-Ed’s comes on a very thin and crispy crust with a consistency similar to a cracker (apparently they press their dough 100 times in custom-made rollers).  While on the more expensive side of pizza places, the toppings here set it apart from your generic pizza take-out joint.
