Solav Souvlaki – Reopened then Reclosed

We were disappointed when our favourite donair place closed down when they tore down Station Square.  As it turns out, they’ve just recently reopened in the beginning of April near the Joyce Skytrain station on the corner of Joyce and Wellington.

Unlike their last hole-in-the-wall location, their new digs has a fairly comfortable seating space.

Their lamb plate comes served with a tasty Greek-style salad with fresh cucumbers, tomatoes, red, yellow, orange, and green bell peppers, onions, feta cheese, and a hot pepper.  You also get 1/2 a roast potato and grilled pita bread and plenty of  seasoned rice… not to mention the skewer of tender lamb meat.

*Update September 18, 2013 – drove by the new location today and noticed that they are closed now 😦

  1. They reopened in Port Coquitlam! It’s worth the trip. http://solav.ca

    • Yes, I think I recall hearing that they reopened again. Too bad for me that’s it’s a bit of a trip to get to Poco. Their Joyce St location was convenient. Mind you, I do like the Thai Escape restaurant that took up their old Joyce St spot.
