IHOP (Brentwood) – Country Fried Steak and Eggs
Nothing starts off a cold morning better than a cup of hot chocolate with whipped cream. I had some errands around Brentwood one Saturday morning and stopped off at IHOP for some grub. The place was pretty busy – I don’t think there’s very much open this early in this neighbourhood and the food is pretty decent.
I’ve often contemplated about ordering the Country Fried Steak and Eggs for breakfast and I finally gave in. The steak had a nice crunchy coating and was smothered in gravy. The steak wasn’t as tender as the schnitzel that I had recently at the Old Bavaria Haus but it wasn’t bad either. Plus the runny yolks were the perfect pairing for the crispy shredded hash browns.
I’ve honestly forgotten how much I like rye bread so I was very glad that I picked the toasted rye over the pancakes.
IHOP has a lot of different items on their menu… if you can’t decide what to have, try out their Split Decision like I did on my last visit.
