Bourbon St. Grill – Chinese Cajun

I’ve never been to “New Awlins” before so I’m not sure if the food served at Bourbon St. Grill is representative of their cuisine.  I’m guessing that there are aspects to this food court stall in Richmond Centre that probably relate but it’s like comparing the food at Manchu Wok to Chinese food.

Speaking of Chinese food, there was something very reminiscent about the Bourbon Chicken, Green Beans, and Rice.  Just looking at this dish and you couldn’t be faulted for being unable to distinguish it from any of the other Asian food court stalls.

That’s not to say that the food was bad though… it was just pretty standard to what you get at a mall.  The chicken was very sweet due to the glaze and the rice was a bit dry and unflavourful.

For $7.89, you get get 1 meat, 1 veggie, and either rice or noodles.  The noodles aren’t exactly like chow mein but they do look similar.  If you’re looking for something a little less sweet than the bourbon chicken, try the blackened fish instead.
