L’Epicerie Rotisserie & Gourmet Shop

Inside the Granville Island Public Market is a shop that serves roast meats, sandwiches, and carries specialty infused olive oils and vinegars on tap.  I’ve admired some of their hot savory foods before but have never tried them out.  Since we had just had a seafood fest at the Sandbar, I just grabbed some sweets to bring home.

I picked up a 1/2 dozen mini-waffles enrobed with white, milk, and dark chocolate ($12).  These were so good – loved how these dense little waffles had crystalized chunks of sugar in them and the chocolate was quite rich.

The Macarons ($2 each) were a bit hit and miss for my liking.  A couple of the macarons felt like the meringue was a little too chewy while other ones seemed fine.

For $2 a piece, it’s half the cost of the ones at The Urban Tea Merchant.

  1. I absolutely love Macaroons, they are delicious and amazing. Making my mouth water just staring at them.
