Lung Kee Congee & Noodles
As it turns out, a lot of the restaurants that we used to go to in Aberdeen recently closed due to overdue rents. So we decided to try out the food court instead.
One of the things that I like about the Aberdeen food court is that they have a lot of different stalls that you just don’t see at Metrotown or other western malls and the most popular ones are the ones where they make your food to order (instead of just dishing out pre-made food that’s been sitting under heat lamps).
Shown below is Deep Fried Wontons and Assorted Beef Noodle Soup. The wonton filling was quite juicy and squirted out as soon as I bit into them.
The noodle soup had beef tongue, liver, tendon, and tripe so make sure you don’t mind a bit of offal if you order it. The liver was very tender despite coming in thicker pieces than I’m used to (I prefer sliced liver over chunks). I also thought that the tripe had the perfect consistency. However, I’ve never been a big fan of tendon or tongue.
