Grand Dynasty Seafood Restaurant – Dim Sum

It always seems like there is a noticeable dead zone of places to pick up a decent breakfast near the Costco on Still Creek.  There is, however a dim sum restaurant located at the Grand Villa Casino that we’ve been to before (check out our last visit).

The seating is a bit tight here – wish they would spread the tables out a bit more.  The Beef Rice Rolls were as good as I remembered from before and the filling was quite meaty.

The Singapore Style Rice Vermicelli was a plentiful plate of noodles but I thought there was something missing with it.

The Deep Fried Squid with spicy seasoning were all tentacles.  I know some people don’t like tentacles but I don’t have a problem with them.  They were quite well prepared with a crunchy exterior and a firm texture that wasn’t overly chewy.

In addition to the Shu Mai, we had the Mango and Coconut layered dessert.  Even with a fork, it can be a challenge to pick up these nifty looking cubes.  You really need mad chopstick skills to attempt to eat these with chopsticks.  Sure, you could just skewer the cubes but, sooner or later, the chopsticks will cut right through the jello.
