Earls Kitchen & Bar (Poco)

We very rarely find ourselves out in Port Coquitlam.  For a city that turned 100 years old earlier this year, there’s really not that much that I know of it other than being the city where Terry Fox was from.

20130825_175828We’ve been to many other Earls locations before and have always had a pleasant experience… it’s one of the benefits at dining at a chain establishment.

The Earls in Poco is located at the corner of Shaughnessy and Lions Way (a block south of Lougheed Hwy).  Our visit was in late August while we were having an extended dry spell.

To cool down, I started off with the White Peach Lemonade ($4.50) which is a super refreshing drink.

For my entree, I went with the Lois Lake Steelhead Salmon with Feta Caper Aioli ($23.75).  It’s an impressively large piece of salmon that was cooked perfectly and served with rice, beets and carrots.  I loved the smell of dill that wafted through the air as our waitress brought my plate to the table.  I was at first worried that the feta might be too overpowering in the sauce but it turns out that I really enjoyed the creamy sauce.
