Kiku Sushi – Lunch Combos

Kiku Sushi is a Japanese restaurant located in a mini mall in Burnaby, across from London Drugs. We’ve been here a few times before because it’s convenient when we’re running errands.

One of the things that I like about this place is that they have combos where you can get a bunch of different items all together. These combos come with the standard hot miso soup that you expect.

The Beef Syogayaki combo ($9.95) includes ginger beef (thinly sliced beef fried with ginger), tempura and california and tuna roll pieces. The beef was a bit on the dry side but the rest of the combo was pretty good.

The Chicken Karaage Lunch Combo #3 (7.95) includes salmon and tuna sashimi, and crispy fried chicken. The boneless chicken pieces were lightly crispy on the outside and moist and juicy on the inside.

The service seemed to disappear towards the end of our meal and it was impossible to attract their attention. From what I recall, that was similar to some previous visits I’ve had here before (see our last post).
