Joey Bellevue (Bellevue) – Ahi Tuna Club
Joey Bellevue wasn’t our original plan for dinner on the first night of our road trip. It’s not that there’s anything wrong with Joey… we’ve always enjoyed the Joey locations back home in Vancouver. But after hearing the long waits at a number of other nearby restaurants, we were just getting hungry and wanted anything to eat.
The Beach Salad contained strawberries, goat cheese, quinoa, candied pecans, avocado, and a lemon poppy seed dressing with grilled chicken breast.
I quite enjoyed the Ahi Tuna Club. The tuna is grilled rare and the bacon was extra crispy… just the way I like it. Top it off with some sweet pepper relish and onion rings – it was a pretty good meal.
Service was a bit off – perhaps it was because it was a Friday night. They had forgotten to put in a food order and had to rush to try and get it out. In their defense, however, they didn’t charge us for the dish that arrived late.
