Voodoo Doughnut Too (Portland) – Do You Voodoo Too?

If the original location of Voodoo Doughnut is too busy, you can always try their second location (appropriately named Voodoo Doughnut Too) located at NE Davis St. This spot is also open 24 hours a day and happens to have an ample parking lot.

Just like their famous doughnut box, the building itself is covered in pink.

From the outside, you might notice the neat stained glass windows in the front of the store… but it’s not until you get inside that you actually see how colourful it is. I bet most people are too busy checking out the doughnuts to notice the psychedelic colours.

They’ve got the original menu hanging from the wall.

But instead of looking at a menu, it’s more fun to look at the doughnuts that adorn the rotating display cases.

There’s a lot of kitschy stuff all over the store including a mini coffin that you can purchase filled with doughnuts.

We grabbed a box of a dozen doughnuts to go before we headed back to the border. They pick the mix of doughnuts (usually four of the larger doughnuts on top and 8 of the smaller doughnuts on the bottom). I swear, the border guard was eyeing our box of doughnuts when we came back to Canada… I almost thought they were going to try to seize it.

The doughnuts here are a bit sweet and the toppings are pretty unique. While not necessarily the best doughnuts that I’ve had, the fun toppings and fillings make up for it.
