LA Sushi – Sushi at The Crest
LA Sushi isn’t in Los Angeles… it’s actually located in The Crest in Burnaby.
I found that the dishes were a little hit-and-miss during my visit. Take, for example, the Gomae ($3.70) – it was okay but nothing to write home about. On the other hand, the farmed Salmon Sashimi ($10.35) tasted good – the flesh was clean and smooth, just like it’s supposed to be.
I found that the BC Roll ($3.85) had a generous amount of cooked salmon but it was a bit dry. The Unagi nigiri ($1.95) was pretty good but missing the thick tare sauce that I’m used to.
The Chopped Scallop ($1.75) was quite good and was practically overflowing with creamy scallop pieces.
Overall, the service was fairly friendly and attentive here.
