Taco Luis (Lansdowne Centre)

Taco Luis currently has two locations serving up tasty tacos and bountiful burritos… their location in Oakridge Mall and the one in Lansdowne Centre.

You’ve probably heard how Shi Ming Rong, the aforementioned Taco Luis himself, was previously an ophthalmologist before immigrating to Canada. Unable to crack into the bureaucratic healthcare industry here, he wound up dishing out tasty tex-mex eats to plenty of happy customers.

I almost always order the Beef Taco Salad ($5.11) when I come here. They make it to order and pile all of the ingredients into a deep and crispy tortilla bowl. On the bottom is a generous serving of ground beef and topped with lettuce, tomato, onions, cucumber, carrots, jalepeño slices, yellow banana peppers, sour cream, salsa and guacamole.

Mall food really doesn’t get much better than this.
