Krause Berry Farms

Krause Berry Farms spans over 200 acres in Langley Township and is more than just a berry farm… they’ve got a bakery, fudgery, creamery, market and winery. In some respects, it reminds me of our visit to the Tillamook Cheese Factory in Oregon.

During the prime berry picking month, this place gets super busy. There was a 20 minute lineup at the porch where you can pick up some tasty treats like our strawberry ice cream ($2.95), baked corn pizza ($3.99), and berry lemonade ($2.95).

The ice cream was great (especially since is was 40° on the patio) and you can also buy the ice cream to go in the market. For the berry lemonade, you get to choose between strawberry, blueberry, raspberry, and blackberry. The pizza was a bit disappointing however – it was kind of like a pizza pretzel with corn and artichoke baked on top.

If you go to the market, you’re sure to see people carrying around enormous fresh berry pies.
