Chewies Steam & Oyster Bar (Coal Harbour)
Ever since Chewies opened up in Coal Harbour, I’ve been looking for a reason to make it downtown and visit.
The interior feels much more spacious compared to their Kits location. Of course, parking downtown is a bit of a pain ($6/hr on the street).
I ordered the Fried Oyster Po’ Boy ($17.50) with the daily soup. Seriously… one of the best baked potato soups I’ve had… creamy yet you can still make out the bacon and crisp green onions.
The Fanny Bay oysters in the sandwich were large, plump, and crispy and dressed with house-made tartar sauce. If it wasn’t so filling, I would have wanted to try more of their menu.
Check out our visit to their Kits Location.
