Xu’s Wonton House – Juicy Mini Pork Buns
I’ve heard many good things about the xiao long bao at Xu’s Wonton House in Crystal Mall but, I must admit, I was confused when I first visited and couldn’t find them on the menu.
I’ve never heard of “Bayulan” Steamed Mini Pork Buns but that’s what they call it here. Xu’s Wonton is located all the way in the back of the food court and you can watch them making the buns while you wait for your order.
For $4.55 you get a steaming hot bamboo container of 5 large and juicy mini pork buns. Admittedly, it’s difficult to eat this in a mall food court with a small plastic spoon. The buns were quite juicy and the skin was decently thin… although one did break.
I think the only thing that keeps me from visiting this place more often is the insane parking lot and the equally hectic food court.
