Ikea Restaurant (Coquitlam)
How do you know when you’ve spent too much time at Ikea? Apparently, we bought out of the inventory from their Richmond location so we had to head out to their Coquitlam location to grab the rest of our wardrobe units. I think that makes 3 Ikea restaurant pit stops within the same week.
Just like their Richmond location, the restaurant in the Coquitlam Ikea is cafeteria-style. Unfortunately, because this visit was on a Sunday, the restaurant area was filled with yelling and screaming kids running all over the place.
We picked up the 10 piece Meatballs, Mashed Potatoes, Gravy and Lingonberry sauce along with an Almond Butterscotch Cake with marshmallow filling. The meatballs are pretty standard but pleasing nonetheless. The cake had a smooth and creamy filling with little bits of crunchy butterscotch on the inside.
The Salmon was served with a lemon dill sauce, veggies and vegetable medallions for ($7.99 + $0.50 for the garlic bread). This is a pretty good deal because the salmon was actually pretty decent.
This time around, we made sure to pick up a jar of Lingonberry sauce on our way out.

mmm that looks like good comfort food. if ikea opened a food truck downtown they would make a killing!
Well, they sell all of the ingredients at Ikea… so I’m sure somebody could do it. We *might* have brought home some frozen meatballs too
