Hanwoori Korean Restaurant – Revisit
I’m not entirely sure why we don’t visit Hanwoori Korean Restaurant… from what I remember of our last visit, we were very pleased by the food.
On this visit, we decided to try their Mul Mandu – Steamed Pork and Veggie Dumpling. The filling was a bit on the small side but the dumplings were pretty good with the dipping sauce.
The dishes here are on the expensive side but the portion size seems to be meant more for sharing family-style. The Japchae was quite good and had pork and veggies with the chewy and toothsome noodles.
Similarly, the Galbi Vegetable Bokkum – Prime Rib Beef with Veggies was a simple yet pleasing dish with velvet-tender beef.
Unlike some other Korean restaurants, Hanwoori uses disposable wooden chopsticks instead of the stainless steel chopsticks. We wound up have plenty of leftovers to bring home (although we had to wrap up our leftovers ourselves). Service on this visit didn’t seem to be as good as I remembered from our first visit, but the food was still good.
