LA Chicken – Best Fried Chicken, Evah!
LA Chicken has to be the worst-kept-secret, hole-in-the-wall, fried-chicken place in the Lower Mainland.
Personally, I think they must sprinkle some unicorn dust on their fried chicken… how else can you explain how good it is? And the thick gravy? ‘Nuff said!
For some reason, however, they’ve never been able to take some of that magic and direct it to their fries. Well… the chicken is the real reason you come here… and they do that really well.

Ironically when you said “worst-kept” I was thinking of their decor (there isn’t any) and ambiance (less than none). Service is perfunctory. Ketchup comes in Heinz packets. Plastic cutlery. Totally sad. But the chicken does make up for it, even if the meals are a bit pricier than I’d prefer to see.
BTW, a new-to-me secret …… go to Church’s Chicken Canada site on your smartphone, go to their coupons section, scroll to whatever meals or combos takes your fancy, take screenshots of them and leave the pics in your phone’s photo album. Then just go to Church’s and show them the pics as coupons.

The 3-pieces + small fries for $4.90 does the job for me …. it ain’t LA Chicken but it’s also only $5 😀
