Uwajimaya (Seattle 2016) – Road Trip
Summertime means it’s road trip time! This year, we decided to head down to Portland but we knew we wanted to stop off in Seattle for some food and a break from the long drive. Uwajimaya makes the perfect pit stop since it’s roughly half way between Vancouver and Portland. This large supermarket/book store/food court has everything you could possibly need.
We decided to grab some fresh Tuna Poke Chirashi ($9.99) and Musubi Egg & Spam (2.79).
Then we also grabbed a korroke just to be safe.
The musubi was presliced while the tuna poke was served on a bed of relatively dry rice.
The poke was actually pretty good… not as good as what we had in Hawaii but perfectly fine for a quick road trip bite.
There’s actually a food court attached to this grocery store that has a number of different food options. Plus, they have a validated parking lot… bonus!
