White Spot (Maple Ridge) – Strawberry Milkshake
At the end of July, we made the mistake of heading out to Maple Ride for a game of paintball. After the first game (and getting shot point-blank in the heel by friendly-fire), we called it quits and I hobbled over to White Spot to drown my sorrows in a big milkshake.
There’s nothing healthy about a White Spot shake (weighing in at 648 kcal) but their Strawberry Milkshake did temporarily help ease my pain.
I needed something more substantial to eat for breakfast so I picked the Steelhead Benedict with two poached eggs and cured BC steelhead on an English muffin with hollandaise sauce and fresh dill. It also comes with a black bean salsa and smashbrown potatoes but I decided to switch to shredded hash browns instead and they were so much better. The eggs had perfectly runny yolks and you could smell the fresh dill when the dish arrived at the table.
I know, I like to play with my food.
This is their Southwest Chorizo Hash served with chorizo sausage sauteed with veggies, cheddar and jack cheese, and topped with two poached eggs over smashbrown potatoes.
White Spot sure knows a good brunch (and milkshake).
