Rain or Shine (West 4th Ave): Malted Milk Chocolate
We’re smack dab in the middle of summer and it seems like the weather in Vancouver has been more “shine” than “rain” lately. Actually… I wish we did get a bit of rain right about now.
Well, since we can’t do anything about the weather, the least we can do is enjoy some ice cream with this blazing hot sunshine. Rain or Shine has two locations where you can satisfy your ice cream craving… the one on Cambie Street and this particular location on West 4th.
We picked up a couple of singles with 2 flavours for $5 each (+$1 for a waffle cone). The Vanilla and Bomber Brewing’s Passion Fruit Ale has a crisp, tart flavour. Meanwhile, the Malted Milk Chocolate (homemade honeycomb coated in 70% dark chocolate and mixed with Belgian milk chocolate) and Bumble Berry Crumble (vanilla-lemon base with homemade berry crumble of raspberry, strawberry, blackberry, blueberry, and oat crumble bits) makes for a nice mix of sweet and tartness.
The ice cream was pretty spot on but the waffle cone needs some work as the ice cream bled through the thin waffle (making for a bit of a messy cone).
