Mister Donut (Akihabara): Tokyo 2017
When you’re this good… they call you “MISTER”. Seriously… I don’t know what else you can say about Mister Donut. Interestingly, Mister Donut originated in the US but is now headquartered in Japan. That probably explains why their mochi donut is soooo good.
We came across this particular Mister Donut location in Akihabara (an area in Japan known mainly for their electronics). Their Pon De Ring is a cute ring-shaped donut with various glaze flavours. When you bite into this donut, you immediately notice the recognizable chewy texture that’s similar to mochi. I’m not sure if there is actual mochi in the donut but it is so good.
Do yourself a favour and make sure you try one of these donuts if you’re in Japan.
