Sometimes people ask why we started a food blog. To be honest, it started out as a way to remember which restaurants were good bets to revisit in the future. In fact, the first iteration of our food blog began in 1995 before “blogging” became a big thing. Back then, we had it on our personal website (for you young folks… that’s pretty much like a blog but it doesn’t get updated as often, lol).

Update: Jan 2, 2019 – FYI, back in 2015, we migrated our images from Google to Flickr. However, due to the changes at Flickr where they will be limiting the number of images allowed (how insane is that?), we’ve switched back to Google. We have a butt load of pictures on Flickr so you’ll probably notice that there’s going to be a lot of broken image links (especially on older posts). I’m too lazy to go back and try to re-upload old pictures.
Update: April 28, 2021 – Well, it’s been just over 10 years and over 1800 blog posts… Sounds like a good place to take a break. We won’t be actively updating this blog (unless we change our minds later on). Been great trying out all these great restaurants but looking forward to being able to have more spare time.

Using the computer was the easy part…. teaching them not to buy stuff on ebay was much harder

Thanks for dropping by and visiting our site. Yes, I remember starting our first website back in 1998 too. It was a big departure from the bulletin board systems that we were familiar with back then. Things are so much easier now with sites like WordPress or Blogger.
