Adonia Tea House: Amore Afternoon Tea Box

As I mentioned earlier, this past year has seen an influx of shops which offer online sales. To be honest, it has made things more convenient… especially with the whole pandemic still going on. I like it because it gives us the chance to try out new places without having to leave the house (yes, I’m fully embracing the whole living-like-a-hermit way of life)… as long as I’ve got my sweetie by my side.

The Cake & The Giraffe: Valentine’s Day Treat Box

One of the good things about this whole pandemic thing is that we’ve been seeing a lot of interesting take-out options pop-up all over the place. For example, we found this place call The Cake & The Giraffe who was selling special treat boxes during Valentine’s Day.

Mon Paris Patisserie: Passionata

Mon Paris Patisserie is a little bakery shop located across from Metropolis (on the other side of the Skytrain). With all of the development going on in the area, it can be a bit difficult to find parking nearby but we managed to luck out and get a spot right in front of the shop.

Purebread (Mt Pleasant): Carbs Galore

We’ve been fans of Purebread ever since we first visited their Whistler location many moons ago. Since that time, they’ve actually opened a number of locations in Vancouver, including this one location on E 5th Avenue in the Mount Pleasant area.

Mello: Keep Calm and Eat Donuts

“Mellow” – Adj. Pleasantly smooth or soft; free from harshness. I know the spelling is slightly different but if there was one word to describe the Strawberries and Cream brioche donut at this Chinatown donuterie… “Mello” would suffice.

Turns out that Dipped Doughnuts is the purveyor of said 100% vegan doughnuts but, to my dismay, they had no storefront for me to drop by and pick up some (they currently work out of a commissary kitchen and offer their wares in select cafes).
