Earls Kitchen + Bar (Lansdowne)

For some reason, I always forget that there is an Earls located in Lansdowne Mall.  Maybe it’s because the mall entrance to this restaurant is usually closed requiring you to enter from outside of the mall.  I’m only bringing this up because when we came by to visit this Earls in February, we walked right by the outside entrance and spent a perplexing few moments trying to find the mall entrance.  We eventually went back outside the mall and entered through their outside entrance and sat down to enjoy some comfortable eats.

Eight 1/2 Restaurant Lounge – FeastVan 2013

Many of you are probably familiar with Dine Out Vancouver that started back in 2002.  However, a grassroots movement began back in 2012 when many of the East Vancouver restaurants realized that business was being pulled away from their community.  Instead of just griping about it, they put together their own version of Dine Out and FeastVan was born.  In addition to the familiar set menus that you see at Dine Out, FeastVan participants donate $1 from every prix fixe menu to the Strathcona Community Centre Backpack Food Program which provides meals for Raycam and Strathcona Community Centres.  This bridges the weekend gap when school food programs are not running.
