Japanese Bistro Kamome: Tasty and Filling Bento Boxes

Japanese Bistro Kamome is a small little shop about a block away from the Joyce Skytrain station. One of the things that makes this place relatively unique compared with the mass hordes of Japanese restaurants in Vancouver is that you’re not going to find a menu chock full of sushi rolls (actually, I don’t know if I even saw any sushi on their menu).

Kuma Japanese Restaurant: Good Quality But Slow Service

I don’t find myself out in the Dunbar area that frequently but, after an enjoyable visit to MOA in the beginning of September, we stopped by Kuma Japanese Restaurant on Dunbar (across from the Tim Horton’s and liquor store). There didn’t seem to be many other shops on this street that were still open (guessing that they might eventually turn this block into condos…).

Tora Sushi (Queensborough): Serviceable Japanese Food in Queensborough

Tora Sushi is one of the many food establishments located in the Queensborough Landing area of New Westminster. I stopped by one day in August and noticed that it’s fairly busy during the lunch hour.

Restaurant Yugo: Moderately Expensive Japanese Food on Main

After an aborted attempt to visit another restaurant, I eventually wound up at Restaurant Yugo. It wasn’t a total loss because this place has been on my radar for a while now. Located on Main Street between East 26th and East 27th, this spacious restaurant serves up some seriously good (albeit somewhat expensive) Japanese items.
