Agra Tandoori Restaurant: Butter Chicken, Vindaloo, and Fish Curry
A little while ago, I noticed a new spot called Agra Tandoori open up next to Pokerrito in the Market Crossing area of Burnaby. It’s a tiny shop that, you guessed it, serves up East Indian cuisine.

HealthFare Restaurant: Not So Butter Chicken
I’ve seen the signs every time I go shopping at Market Crossing… “Not So Butter Chicken” available at HealthFare Restaurant. I love me some butter chicken but not so butter chicken? I was curious but never curious enough to try them out until just recently.

Tasty Indian Bistro – Modern Indian Cuisine
With the word “Tasty” front and centre in their name, you’ve got to expect that the food better be up to snuff. Tasty Indian Bistro has been around since 2011, located on busy 120th Street that straddles North Delta and Surrey.

Still, when every other stall is serving burgers or sweet and sour pork, it’s a nice change having other ethnic choices at the mall.
Jambo Grill & Good Morning Paan
Looking for more tasty restaurants to try out, Jambo Grill & Good Morning Paan was recommended to me by a co-worker who shall remain nameless (you know who you are). Don’t be discouraged by the long, strange name… “Jambo” is Swahili for “Hello” and “Paan” is a traditional betel leaf wrapped with sweets and nuts used as a palate cleanser and to aid in digestion. Raga Restaurant
I find it interesting that Raga Restaurant had an 87% “Like” on Urbanspoon (as I write this) but there haven’t been any other blog posts (and of the 4 user reviews, 3 didn’t like it). It’s not like it’s a new restaurant (it’s been around since 1981). And it must be fairly well known given the number of celebrities that have eaten there (think I saw Trevor Linden’s autograph on the wall). Read the rest of this entry
