Sushi Q Tea Cafe has been around for a while now but I’ve always been hesitant on visiting in the past because I never really knew what it was… is it a sushi place? Is it a bubble tea place? Well, I finally took the plunge and visited in late September.

Friends BBQ (North Road): Chinese BBQ in Koreantown

If you ever find yourself around North Road and Lougheed Hwy, you’ll probably notice the proliferation of Korean restaurants. After having Korean for a number of days in a row, I was getting a bit anxious to try something else so I wound up stopping by Friends BBQ.

Season’s Apple Cafe: Napoli Tuna Sandwich and Tuna Melt

Season’s Apple Cafe is an Asian-run Italian cafe located in a mini mall on Tenth Avenue in Burnaby, near the Burnaby-Coquitlam border. I stopped by here in mid-July to grab a quick lunch and took a seat on their patio.

Dasarang (North Road): Chicken Katsu and Fried Chicken

Dasarang is one of the many Korean restaurants located in the large mini mall off of North Road and Rochester Street. Located on the second floor, Dasarang occupies a fairly large space and has plenty of windows which lets the light in.

Midam Rice Cake House (North Road): Lunch in Koreatown

Midam Rice Cake House is one of the many Korean cafes in the busy mini mall located on the Burnaby/Coquitlam border of North Road. In fact, this area is often called “Koreatown” given the proliferation of Korean establishments in the area.

Dae-Ji (North Road): Hamburger Steaks and Deep-Fried Cutlets

Dae-Ji is a popular Vancouver-based Korean cutlet house that specializes in deep-fried cutlets of various meats as well as hamburger steaks (similar to Hamburg steaks). The location on North Road in Burnaby is on the second floor of a busy mini mall just south of Lougheed Hwy.

Jejudo: Korean-Japanese Fusion

Jejudo is one of the many Korean restaurants in a mini mall located on North Road above the Hannam Supermarket and specializes in a Korean-Japanese fusion with an emphasis to sushi dishes.

Arisu Authentic Korean BBQ: Bibimbap

Arisu is one of the typical Korean restaurants that you’ll find along the North Road corridor between Burnaby and Coquitlam. This particular location is on the second floor of a mini mall above the Hannam Supermarket.

White Spot (North Road): White Spot Club

This past August 15th, 2018 was Pirate Pak Day at White Spot. This is the day that adults can purchase their famous Pirate Paks and White Spot would donate $2 to the Zajac Ranch for Children… a worthy cause that I’ve raised money for in the past.

Indian Bombay Bistro: Chicken Malai

Indian Bombay Bistro is a surprisingly good restaurant located on 6th Street in Burnaby that I’ve been to on a number of occasions.

Indian Bombay Bistro – Garlic Naan

I’ve must have driven along 6th Street in Burnaby a number of times but have never really noticed the Indian Bombay Bistro that opened up about a year and a half ago on the corner of Graham Avenue until recently.

Thai Express (Lougheed Town Centre)

Thai Express is a fast food chain that’s located in many shopping centres in the Lower Mainland. While I don’t find myself in Lougheed Mall very often (mainly because traffic in the area is crazy), I did notice that they opened up a Thai Express here.
