Kozak Ukrainian Eatery (Victoria Drive): Ukrainian Pastries

Those of you who have been paying attention to social media over the last year have probably seen the pictures of chocolate babka slices from Kozak Ukrainian Eatery located in New Westminster. Well, their much awaited shop in Vancouver finally opened earlier this year (after a few delays) and we just happened to be walking by one snowy day in January so we picked up a few items to go.

I was driving around New Westminster one gloomy autumn day when I glanced up and saw the sign for Kozak Ukrainian Eatery. Immediately, I thought about cabbage rolls and pierogies and how I haven’t had any recently.

If you’ve read this blog long enough, you’ve probably seen quite a few references to various tv shows that I’ve grown up watching.  One of the funnier episodes of Seinfeld was The Dinner Party where the gang was trying to buy a chocolate babka to bring to a (you guessed it) dinner party.
