Shaughnessy Restaurant – Pork Loin, Sablefish, and a Pot ‘o Chocolate

Back in September, we were taking in a visit to VanDusen Botanical Gardens when we started getting the hunger pains. Fortunately, there’s a nice little restaurant located here called Shaughnessy Restaurant.

Le Parisien (Dine Out Vancouver 2014)

The great thing about Dine Out Vancouver is trying out restaurants that you’ve never been to before.  Last year we tried a great French bistro called Bistro Pastis on West 4th  (see our 2013 Dine Out post here).  This year, we decided to try Le Parisien, a French bistro in the West End owned by the same person as Bistro Pastis.

La Cigale French Bistro

When dining at La Cigale French Bistro in Kits, it’s hard not to draw comparisons to the former tenants of this spot, Bistrot Bistro.  We really enjoyed our past meals at Bistrot Bistro so we were sad to see them leave.  We knew that a new French bistro had opened up and decided to come for dinner in July.
