Dragon Group Seafood Restaurant is located on the busy corner of Alderbridge and Garden City Road in Richmond – and I’ve got to say, they have a really confounding parking lot – I kept driving around trying how to find how to get into the parking lot before figuring out I had to enter from the backside (that’s why she said).

Flamingo House – New Digs on Marine Drive
Back at the end of 2015, Flamingo closed their doors on their popular Cambie Street location. As with so many places on the Cambie corridor, rising land values had proved too tempting and the owner had sold the property. This left us with a few months of withdrawal from Flamingo House until their new location on Marine Drive was ready.

Posh (Burnaby) – Crab Hot Pot Horrors

Rose Garden Seafood Restaurant – Deep Fried Crab
About 2 weeks ago, we were still trying to get in on the 2012 Alaskan King Crab season but all of the prices went through the roof by mid-March. Rose Garden Seafood Restaurant has been one of our go-to places in the neighbourhood for Chinese take out but we’ve only dined in the restaurant once before many years ago. Flamingo House Chinese Cuisine
They say that if you’re good at something, you should stick with it. It seems that the people at Flamingo House really believe in that statement. Walking into this large restaurant on Cambie Street is like travelling back in time to the kinds of Chinese restaurants that were around back in the 80’s. The waiters and waitresses are all decked out in colourful pink, red, and green Chinese uniforms… Even their dim sum is brought out on traditional push carts! Read the rest of this entry

It’s getting towards the end of Alaskan King Crab season and we’ve been having a hankering for more king crab. I’ve been wanting to try Western Lake Chinese Seafood Restaurant for a while but it always seems so busy on the weekends.
