WildTale Olympic Village: Solid West Coast Eats

Having been a fan of the food at The Flying Pig, I’ve been looking forward to trying WildTale for quite some time as it was opened by the same chefs. Actually, the WildTale in Olympic Village is just a stone’s throw away from The Flying Pig on West 2nd Ave.

Tony’s Fish & Oyster Cafe – Seafood Sampler

Tony’s Fish & Oyster Cafe has been a staple at the entrance to Granville island since 2002. The thing is… there’s so many great places to eat at Granville Island that we’ve never found the time to try them out… until now.

Pearl Castle Cafe (Burnaby)

Pearl Castle Cafe currently has 4 locations. The one located in the Old Orchard Shopping Centre at Kingsway and Willingdon is difficult to see from the street as the restaurant is set inwards.

Longtail Kitchen – Thai at the Quay

Longtail Kitchen is a Thai cafe located at the Quay in New West that uses local ingredients to recreate popular Thai street food while trying to stay true to traditional flavours and is a sister restaurant to Maenam.

Fish House in Stanley Park

Back in November of last year, we stopped by the Fish House in Stanley Park for lunch.  It’s been years since we last visited this restaurant located next to the tennis courts.  Being a touristy spot, I was worried that it would be busy at lunchtime but I guess the rain kept everyone away because we were the first ones there (a few diners did eventually arrive a bit later).
