Honolulu Juice Factory (Hawaii 2017): Passion Mango Tea with Sweet Potato Mochi

While waiting for our skewers from Carp Dori in the Shirokiya Japan Village Walk, I decided that we needed something to drink and figured the best place to go would be the Honolulu Juice Factory, also conveniently located in the Japan Village Walk.

Carp Dori (Hawaii 2017): Yakitori

Thanks to the food stalls in the Shirokiya Japan Village Walk, we were able to relive many of our favourite food memories from our trip to Japan. One of our favourites was when we visited the tiny yakitori restaurants in Tokyo. After our okonomiyaki from Tokugawa, we decided to try a few skewers from Carp Dori, also located in the Japan Village Walk.

Tokugawa (Hawaii 2017): Okonomiyaki

During our trip to Japan last year, we tried many classic Japanese dishes including okonomiyaki (a popular grilled pancake filled with savory ingredients). While we enjoyed our meal at Toradyu Okonomiyaki, we had to make the okonomiyaki ourselves (which is quite a bit of work). So when we saw that we could get okonomiyaki made for us at the Shirokiya Japan Village Walk, we jumped at the opportunity.

When we visited Hawaii in 2016, they were still renovating the Shirokiya Japan Village Walk in the Ala Moana Center. So on this visit, I was looking forward to checking it out (especially after our recent trip to Japan in November).
