Sushi Taku: Solid Take-Out Options

The corner of Joyce and Wellington (near the Joyce Skytrain Station) seems to be the Bermuda triangle for restaurants… I’ve seen numerous restaurants come and go in this one spot. It’s a shame because I’ve liked most of the past restaurants.

Hon Sushi – Forgettable Sushi

The restaurant located on the second floor above Earls on Kingsway has changed a number of times over the years. In recent times, it’s been the location of Fish on Rice, an AYCE Japanese restaurant. Van-Ya Japanese Restaurant

Van-Ya is one of those non-descript Japanese restaurants that you could pass by without even realizing it. Actually, I’m pretty sure that I’ve passed by this restaurant many times without batting an eye. Since it’s located on a side street off of Kingsway, that’s not too surprising.
